A project assignment completed during my first semester in art college in Observational Drawing class.ASSIGNMENT: Take a black and white photo of and object then recreate it on 32 x 40 Ania paper.
Portrait of a skull I have in my room. This was my first attempt at working with ink and the largest scale or paper or canvas I have ever done art on at the time. Not easy to work with when you're so short... (5'3") Original photo was taken by a friend named Kent. [link]I put it on the wall at the foot my bed and had nightmares for a week, and nearly fell out of bed when I'd wake up in the night and see the huge grin and stare.
I seem to have a theme for each class. In this class, every work had a common gothic atmosphere, subject, or symbol.(Ink)
